William Brooksbank, Bradford, West Yorkshire, C1855. Oak and mahogany longcase clock featuring a swan neck pediment with some typical Yorkshire features, and a white painted break-arch dial, inscribed with the name (William) Brooksbank, Bradford, who is recorded as working as a clockmaker between 1837 - 1871. Height 94 inches.

Thomas Mear, Dursley, Gloucestershire, C1820. A 30 hour oak and mahogany longcase clock, the hood surmounted by columns under a swan neck pediment, and seashell inlay to the trunk door. The 12 inch break-arch painted dial features Arabic numerals, a calendar aperture, a scene of Wellington to the arch and is inscribed with the name T Mear, Dursley. Thomas Mear is a well recorded Gloucestershire clockmaker, who was working in Silver Street, Dursley between 1779 and 1842. A good all round original clock. Height 84 inches.

S & W Shortman, Newnham, Gloucestershire, C1860. A fine quality solid mahogany longcase clock with a Bristol style pediment. The break arch painted dial features Roman numerals and a subsidiary seconds dial, inscribed with the above name. Samuel and William Shortman of Newnham on Severn are recorded as working together between 1856 and 1874, and they were the sons of Samuel Thompson Shortman, also a clockmaker of Newnham on Severn. Height 91 inches.

Edwards, Corwen, Wales, C1820. An eight day mahogany longcase clock, the case features extensive inlay and stringing, canted sides, and surmounted by a swan neck pediment. The 14 inch painted dial with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, contains a scene depicting Owen Glendower, the Welsh Nationalist leader addressing his troops and gilt floral spandrels. John Edwards of Corwen is recorded as having died in 1862. Height 96.5 inches.

Jerre Jones, London, C1725. An 8 day Japanned London longcase with arched brass dial featuring silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, blued steel hands, and cartouche engraved with Jerre Jones, London. The case and pagoda hood are decorated with chinoisere paintings depicting a sailing ship, Chinese figures and stylised chrysanthemums. Height 92 inches.

J J Elliott of London, C1885. A fine mahogany musical longcase clock with phases of the moon to the arch and other outstanding attributes. The case with swan neck pediment features extensive crossbanding, ebonised barley twist columns with gilded brass capitals and ivory escutcheon. The 13 inch brass dial has a silvered chapter ring with raised brass Roman numerals, silvered subsidiary seconds dial, strike/silent, chime/silent, Westminster/8 bells levers, and a silvered tablet engraved 'J J Elliott, 5 Percival Street, Clerkenwell, EC'. The substantial 3 train movement has deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, chimes the quarters on a cluster of 8 bells and strikes the hours on a coiled gong. Height 90 inches.

George Whiston, Stafford, C1835. A 8 day oak and mahogany longcase clock with an arched painted dial, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture. The dial features a fine painting of a castle to the arch and gilt floral scenes to the spandrels. The case features a crown shaped trunk door with inlaid diamond, reeded columns and a swan neck pediment to the hood. George Whiston is recorded as working in Stafford between 1828 and 1850. Height 89 inches.

Pyott, Leith, Scotland, C1829 A solid mahogany Scottish drumhead longcase clock, with a 13 inch white circular dial featuring subsidiary seconds dial, calendar dial, and is inscribed with the name Jas Pyott, Leith. The 8 day weight driven movement with rack, strikes the hours on a bell. The case features quarter columns to the trunk, a panelled base, bun feet, and has a locking bezel, hood, and trunk door. James Pyott is recorded as working at St Bernard Street, Leith in 1829, in 'Old Scottish Clockmakers' by J. Smith. Height 85 inches.

A Devon 8 day longcase clock, C1760, A 8 day longcase clock with a 12 inch arched brass dial, and mahogany case. The dial centre and spandrels feature floral engraving, and the arch indicates phases of the moon, and the time of high tide at Plymouth. The pierced steel hands, silvered seconds subsidiary dial and the calendar aperture, are contained within the chapter ring, which has both Roman numerals and Arabic minute markers. The French polished solid mahogany case features a flat top pediment with dentil mouldings and reeded columns to the hood, a tall trunk door, and inlay stringing to the base.

John Thristle, Stogursey, Somerset, C1825. A 30 hour longcase clock with an 11 inch white painted square dial, featuring Roman numerals, arched calendar aperture, and gilt floral spandrels under a swan neck pediment. The four pillar movement with outside countwheel is chain driven and strikes the hours on a bell. The trunk door features a star with inlaid suround.

Henry Curgenven, Helston, Cornwall, C1763. A solid oak 8 day longcase clock with swan neck pediment, decorative carved wooden patera, and quarter columns to the trunk. The 12 inch brass dial features a silvered chapter ring, subsidiary seconds dial, and an engraved cartouche inscribed with the name 'Henry Curgenven, Helstone'. Henry Curgenven is recorded as working in Helston, Cornwall in 1763.

Wm Fearers, Leek, Staffordshire, C1810. An 8 day oak and mahogany longcase clock with an arched white dial featuring a rolling moonphase, subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture. The hood features a swan neck pediment with extensive crossbanding and inlay, as does the case and the crown shaped trunk door. The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell.

Geo Baker, Dorchester, C1760. An 8 day red Jappanned longcase clock, with a square 12 inch brass dial featuring silvered chapter ring with Roman and arabic numerals, pierced steel hands, subsidiary seconds dial and a tablet engraved with the name Geo Baker, Dorchester. The case with caddy topped pediment has extensive chinoisere decoration featuring raised work of cherry blossom, figures and birds. The four pillar movement with rack, strikes the hours on a bell.

Robert Ross, Glasgow, C1845. A Scottish drumhead mahogany longcase with 12 inch white painted circular dial featuring subsidiary seconds and calendar dials, and inscribed with the name Robert Ross, Glasgow. The circular hood has carved shoulders and gilt painted wooden sight ring. The case has a tapered case, with rounded door, columns and a rectangular recess to the base. The eight day rack strike movement has anchor escapement and strikes the hours on a bell. Height 75".

Thos Evans, Pontypool, C1849. An 8 day oak and mahogany longcase clock with an arched white painted convex dial featuring nautical scenes, subsidiary seconds dial and date apeture. The Bristol style case has boxwood and ebony stringing, the hood and case both feature Corithian columns and brass capitals. The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell. Thomas Evans is listed as working at The Cross, Pontypool in 1849. Height 86 inches.

J Chance, Chepstow, Monmouthshire, C1790. An oak 8 day longcase clock with a 12 inch square painted dial, subsidiary seconds dial, and calendar aperture. The case features an architectural pediment with blind fretwork and wooden acorn finial, long trunk door, and bun feet. J Chance was recorded as working in Chepstow between 1760 and 1791. Height 82 inches.

Roskell, Liverpool, C1834. A mahogany 8 day longcase clock by R Roskell of Liverpool. The 14 inch circular white dial has Roman numerals and is signed by the above, and the four pillar movement has rack striking the hours on a bell. The hood with dome topped pediment, has fluted (part brass) columns with brass arched sound windows. The well proportioned case has an arched shaped door with lower panel beneath with fluted quarter columns over an inlaid base. The dial has been restored to its original condition, and features a subsidiary seconds dial and Roman numerals. Height 80 inches.

J Matthews, Leighton, C1800. An 8 day oak longcase clock with an arched white dial, elegantly painted spandrels, with seconds and calendar subsidiary dials. The dome topped hood features reeded Corinthian columns, and the case is in remarkably good condition. The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell. John Matthews is listed as working in Leighton Buzzard in 1800. Height 84 inches.

Mark Bartley, Bristol, circa 1835. A mahogany cased longcase clock with moonphase dial to the arch, by Mark Bartley of Bristol, who was recorded as working between 1830 and 1850. The dial features painted floral spandrels, a subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture. The case features boxwood and ebony inlay and a arched hood with three original ball and eagle finials. The four pillar movement with anchor escapement strikes the hours on a bell. Height 88 inches.

Francis Jersey, London, circa 1770. A fine solid mahogany longcase clock by Francis Jersey of London, with a brass and silvered arched dial. Engraving and silvering is applied to the chapter ring, subsidiary seconds ring, calendar ring, strike / silent ring, and name tablet. The quality 5 pillar movement has anchor escapement, runs for 8 days, and strikes the hours on a bell. Solid mahogany is used extensively for the majority of the case, which features a typical London trunk door, and is surmounted by a hood with flat top pediment. Height 89 inches.

A T Espie, Glasgow, Scotland, C1870. A mahogany cased longcase clock with a 13 inch round white painted dial, featuring subsidiary seconds and calendar dial, and is inscribed with the name A T Espie, Glasgow. The circular drum head hood is carved in acanthus style and the case features a tapered (keyhole) case, flanked by barley twist columns, and a circular recess to the base. Height 86 inches.

Caledonian Railway Trunk Dial. A wall hung trunk dial timepiece, with a 2 train weight driven movement, the oak case with a round white painted dial. This timepiece is believed to have originally come from Callandar Signal Box.
