Morfa Bank Sidings are situated in the Port Talbot docks area of South Wales, and the era portrayed is circa 1972. The layout features an exchange yard between BR and BSC, with a private line on a lower level serving an export quay for finished steel products. A scrapyard, ingot mould foundry and a resin plant complete the scene.

Just a small section of some of the scratchbuilt buildings featured on this layout. The attention to detail is excellent.

Ex BR class 04 shunter awaits cutting up in the scrapyard.

Part of the Glamolic Resins factory.

Hywel Thomas has been busy working on a scenic area at Morfa Bank Sidings. Details of this corner of the layout can be found on the OMWB pages.

The June OMWB page featured Hywel Thomas' Morfa Bank office block under construction, and here it is pictured in its completed state.

The completion of this building finishes the view over the low level lines - just a couple of Minic cars to be detailed up and parked on the road.
