Paul James has been busy plugging away on more wagon projects, details of which can be
found on the OMWB page. The wagon on the left is a reworked Ian Kirk kit, and the one on the right
started out as a Dapol riveted 21 ton wagon.

46020 hauls a rake of MSVs through Shenston Road station. Greg Brookes Bachmann class
46 loco has added detail to the chassis, cabs and nose seam, and is a superb and underestimated
model.

The 20+ MSV stone tippler wagons are Parkside kits, weathered and lettered using
Paul Bartletts excellent wagon website for reference.

This brace of Ciba-Giegy tanks are reworked Hornby tank wagons, with rebuilt detail
differences to the chassis, and etched catwalks to finish.

With all wagons and other rolling stock on Shenston Road, finishing touches and
weathering are copied from drawings and photographs of the prototype.

This scratchbuilt liquid chlorine tank is seen being shunted at Shenston Road in the
company of a caustic soda tank and class 08.

The ICI caustic soda tank is a Appelby Model Engineering kit, finished with
light weathering to represent the corrosive nature of the product carried.

Although Wibdenshaw is located on a ex-Midland Railway route, most of the West Yorkshire
stations came under the North Eastern Region of British Railways in the 1958 re-organisation. The
incorrect maroon signs have been replaced with these tangerine coloured signs, produced by Paul James.

This diorama built by Sara Harvey will form part of a future layout project. Utilising
the Matchbox ice cream van, it has been converted, and features 'Salmonella Sue' serving tasty wares to a
host of customers.

The Morfa Mawr layout project by Trevor Hale has been progressing well, and the
latest pictures are featured in the layouts section of the website.

This is the Steptoe Yard at Morfa Bank, by Hywel Thomas. The two rather dubious
residents of the yard are being visited by a member of the local Constabulary, who is waiting
patiently at the gate.

Whilst PC Jenkins conducts his enquiries into some missing car parts, their dog Fido, is
barking at the letterbox.

Meanwhile, their other mutt Jasper, is tangled up with toilet paper outside the
rather basic 'facilities'....

Will re-inforcements be required, or will they come quietly? Earlier views of the
Steptoe Yard during construction can be seen on archive OMWB pages.

A pic of 'Beckett', the AW&T's only remaining steam loco (a very heavily rebuilt Dapol
'Pug') crossing the road on its way back to the yard.

03111 is the latest loco to enter the Wibdenshaw fleet, and utilises the new High Level
Kits chassis and chequer plate overlays.

Ian Mandersons 55019 Royal Highland Fusilier is seen heading a northbound
working through Wibdenshaw.

The latest addition to the Shenston Road fleet, is this Hornby Shark, repainted into
faded black livery and weathered by Greg Brookes.

6572 and 6596 are seen at the steelworks exchange sidings at Shenston Road.

The Brewery layout, built by Anthony Wood, Ian Manderson and Pete Johnson, recently
attended the Clevedon (Somerset) exhibition. A page detailing this layout, has now been added to the
layout index. This shot shows Pete Johnsons class 05 shunting vans in the yard.

Alan Dewey's East Lodge layout has been a popular attraction on the exhibition circuit
recently, and is also now featured within these pages. A Cravens 2 car DMU runs past the jam factory
on a Bishops Stortford service.
